We sponsor this youth shooting sports team called the SST (Safe Shooting team). Southern Alberta Firearms Education (SAFE) Society formed this team at the request of Scott Sweetman. Scott believes that the shooting sports are an ideal vehicle to help youth become responsible, mature adults. Beyond the safe firearm use and the skill development, SST members also commit to volunteering / contributing to their community. Pictured above is the SST team (plus a couple of adults who assist / support the team) who competed in Brooks, Alberta at the IPSC Provincials this last weekend. This was a very challenging course of fire, but this team performed very well! SST will also compete in the IPSC Nationals later this month.
